The usual risks
- Sending money to a personal account with no receipt.
- A vendor who stops replying once you have paid.
- "What I ordered" against "what I got".
- A rider you never chose, and nobody responsible when it goes wrong.
How Spree protects your money
- You pay Spree, not the shop. Card or bank transfer through Paystack, with a receipt.
- Spree holds it. The shop is only paid when a Spree rider collects your order and enters the shop's four-digit pickup code.
- You hold the last code. At your door you give the rider your delivery code. No code, no handover.
- Wrong or damaged? Turn it down. Refuse the parcel at the door and you get all your money back.
- Problems later are covered too. Report it within 24 hours with two photos. Once Spree approves it, a rider collects it and you are refunded.
Shops are checked before they sell
Every shop confirms its identity and a bank account in its own name before it can take orders. Its page shows how many orders it has delivered and how often on time, and reviews come only from buyers who received an order.
